Manual Welder Columbia Vehicle Group - 3.4 Aiken, SC Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Measuring tapes Dimensional measurements Full Job Description Columbia Vehicle Group (CVG) designs and manufactures industry-leading electric vehicles for commercial, industrial, and retail markets. The Manual Welder is responsible for welding metal components used in the production of electric vehicles and related equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical drawings, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform manual MIG welding operations on mild steel and aluminum components Interpret blueprints, read work instructions, and verify measurements Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and structural standards Grind, clean, and finish welds as required Verify proper alignment and fit of parts before welding Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are in safe working condition Follow all CVG safety standards and manufacturing procedures Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality goals Assist with other fabrication or production tasks as needed Demonstrates consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality to support production efficiency, team performance, and operational goals Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Must have consistent, recent welding experience with no significant gaps or must be currently enrolled in a welding program Demonstrated ability to accurately read a tape measure and apply measurements in a manufacturing environment Experience using grinders, clamps, and metal fabrication tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality products Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and welding fumes Why Join Columbia Vehicle Group At Columbia Vehicle Group, our team members play a key role in building innovative electric vehicles used across industries worldwide.
