Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding techniques to assemble and fabricate metal components. Your expertise will contribute to the production of durable, precise, and reliable metal structures and parts, adhering to strict safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects in a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are highly valued. Monday through Thursday 1st

6:00 AM-4:00 PM 2nd
Shift:
4:30 PM-3:00 AM Fridays and Saturdays may be required for overtime based on production needs. Responsibilities Metal Rack Repair and Modifications Welding accounts for approximately 50% of the work Adheres to all safety rules and regulations along with the Company's Standard Operating Procedures. Assess condition of racks returned from customer, provides information for repair/modification quote Reads blueprints and weld assemblies to assure compliance to customer standards. Enters accurate quantities, material used and time into data collection system. Sets up equipment and welds parts by hand on automatic MIG welding equipment. Bolts, clamps and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Conduct final inspections of welds and parts, making spot repairs to ensure stability Operates forklift to safely move materials. Requires some travel to customer sites to complete tasks. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Apply skills to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form Satisfactorily perform essential duties Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and customers Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity are necessary as MIG welders frequently work with large pieces and cumbersome equipment.
