MIG Welder - Structural Steel

Location:

Easley, SC

Pay:

$25.00-$35.00/hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

1st shift, Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM; overtime required as needed

Full-time, direct hire

HTI is hiring an experienced MIG Welder for an established manufacturer of industrial storage and material handling systems. The company is relocating to a brand-new facility in Easley, creating an opportunity to join the team as it grows in its new space.

What You'll Do

MIG weld structural steel components used in industrial racking and storage systems, including beams, uprights, and braces.

Read blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.

Set up and adjust welding equipment for different materials and thicknesses.

Fit, align, and assemble components before welding.

Inspect welds for quality, proper penetration, and conformance to specifications.

Use measuring tools to check dimensions and alignment.

Communicate material, equipment, or quality concerns to the team.

Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all PPE requirements.

What We're Looking For

At least one year of MIG welding experience in manufacturing or fabrication; structural steel experience strongly preferred

Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings

Experience using tape measures, squares, gauges, and other measuring tools

Attention to weld quality and the ability to meet production goals

Ability to stand throughout the shift, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds

Experience with pallet racking or other material handling products and AWS certification are pluses.
