• Proven experience as a fabricator/welder, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or sawmill environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong understanding of measurements, dimensions, angles, tolerances, and layout.
• Ability to fabricate a part or assembly from a drawing, sketch, or field measurements.
• Ability to troubleshoot fabrication problems and develop practical solutions.
• Proficient with common welding and fabrication tools.
• Ability to safely operate equipment such as plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, grinders, drills, saws, and other shop equipment.
• Ability to lift, position, and work with heavy materials.
