Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder specializing in Aluminum Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing aluminum components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in metal fabrication, interpret technical drawings accurately, and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality workmanship. Duties Perform aluminum TIG welding on various metal materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet project specifications and industry standards. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to guide welding and assembly processes. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math skills to verify dimensions and ensure precise fabrication. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently for fabrication and assembly tasks. Fabricate sheet metal components and assemble metal structures according to detailed technical specifications. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, maintaining a clean work environment and using appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Collaborate with team members on projects involving welding, machining, assembly, and quality control to meet production deadlines. Requirements Proven experience in aluminum TIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment. Strong knowledge of welding techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and stick welding. Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools; basic math skills for precise fabrication. Experience with sheet metal fabrication, plasma cutting, machining, and mechanical fabrication processes. Knowledge of American Welding Society (AWS) standards and safety protocols applicable to welding operations. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and gas metal arc welding equipment efficiently. Construction site experience is a plus; familiarity with crane operation or working around heavy machinery is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
