Job Description
Welder / Fabricator General Equipment & Supply 3423 Fork Shoals Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680 Join Our Team General Equipment & Supply is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team in Simpsonville, SC. This is a full-time position for an experienced individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail, and maintaining a safe work environment. As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural steel components, interpreting blueprints, and assisting with the assembly of custom equipment and power distribution products. Responsibilities Fabricate and weld structural steel components and assemblies Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding as required Cut, shape, and prepare materials using hand tools, torches, plasma cutters, and shop equipment Fit and assemble metal components to required tolerances Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all company and OSHA safety requirements Qualifications Minimum 2 years of welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience with structural steel fabrication and welding Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes Experience operating fabrication equipment, including saws, drill presses, grinders, and cutting tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing/shop environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable attendance and positive attitude
