Job Title:
Welder - BENEFITS DAY 1 - $24 TO $28 AN HOUR Job Description Join a dynamic team in a custom fire truck manufacturing environment where you will be responsible for performing various welding procedures, including GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG), while ensuring quality and precision in all tasks. This role offers the opportunity to work with aluminum and stainless steel materials in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Perform GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding procedures, including setting up machines, bottles, and necessary fittings. Set up and maintain welding machines, including tips, liners, and changes, while welding vertically, horizontally, and overhead. Inspect welds for cracks, burn through, and weld spatter. Weld aluminum and stainless steel as required. Grind and clean areas as necessary. Stay current with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and perform basic mechanical adjustments on equipment. Follow hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures. Essential Skills Proficiency in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding procedures. Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and perform shop math for layout, fabrication, and welding. Experience with aluminum and stainless steel welding. Knowledge of tape measure usage for precise measurements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred high school diploma or GED. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, and steel-toe footwear. The role is on the 2nd shift from 4 PM to 4:30 AM Monday through Wednesday and 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Brandon, SD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $56160.00/yr.
