Full-Time, Year-Round Position Overview Mitchell Quarry is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining and repairing quarry equipment, fabricating parts, and ensuring operations run efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, cutting, and metal fabrication in a heavy industrial or similar environment. Schedule Monday - Friday, Day Shift Saturdays as needed Overtime available Responsibilities Perform welding and fabrication on quarry equipment and components Operate torches for cutting and heating applications Conduct stick welding (SMAW) for repairs and fabrication Utilize a company-provided service truck for on-site repairs and fieldwork Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and measurements Repair crushers, conveyors, and heavy equipment as needed Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently Maintain tools and a clean work environment Qualifications Experience with stick welding (SMAW) required Proficient in the use of cutting torches Strong fabrication skills (measuring, cutting, fitting, assembling) Experience working with heavy equipment or in a quarry/industrial setting preferred Ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor conditions Strong attention to detail and safety practices Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or on a team What We Offer Competitive hourly pay ($25-$35 DOE) Overtime opportunities Company service truck for on-site work Stable, year-round employment Hands-on, team-oriented work environment
