Welder Job Description :

Welder is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures using various welding techniques

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs required daily preventative maintenance Welder is responsible for set-up and operation of welding equipment Solve problems and eliminate scrap, rework and downtime while effectively repairing defective products. Perform quality inspections to ensure welds meet specifications and standards, identifying and addressing any flaws. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, weld symbols and engineering drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal structures. Perform advanced welding operations using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick welding). Operate robot welding equipment also torches, hand tools, clamps, jigs, fixtures and specialized machines, while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Sets up, troubleshoots and makes advanced adjustments to the weld process as needed to maintain good production and quality. Maintain clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions Document actions by completing production and quality forms Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Applicant must have manufacturing assembly experience and/or high level of mechanical aptitude Applications must have good communication skills Applicants must be detail oriented, dependable, and work well in a team environment. Applicants must be able to bend, stoop, reach high and low, work at a constant pace, and lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Build defect-free products that meet Quality Standards Build products within time standards Adhere to safety standards and requirements Knowledge of metallurgy Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques

Preferred Experience:

AWS D1.1 1G
