Job Description
TIG and MIG Welders Job Description This role focuses on welding thin-gauge aluminum, sheet metal, and stainless steel materials while supporting the fabrication of equipment. You will set up welding equipment, interpret blueprints, and produce high-quality welded assemblies that meet strict print and quality standards in a clean, organized, and safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Set up MIG and TIG welding equipment and ensure it operates safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand specific welding requirements. Fit and weld stainless steel and other thin-gauge materials Verify that all completed work conforms to print, dimensional, and quality requirements. Follow production plans and meet required daily output targets. Assist with material cutting and preparation, including sawing, grinding, and deburring components. Assemble welded components as needed to complete finished products such as bakery storage equipment and sinks. Maintain a clean, organized work area and care for tools, equipment, and facilities. Provide consistent attention to detail and maintain focus on each assigned task. Follow all safety rules, procedures, and quality standards at all times. Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency on the production floor. Perform plate-to-plate weld tests as required to demonstrate welding proficiency. Shift and Pay 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM + OT (~50 Hours/week) Starting pay is $20-24/h, depending on weld test and experience Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
