Job Title:
TIG Welder - Stainless Steel Semiconductor/Data Center Components Job Description This role focuses on TIG welding stainless steel components used in the semiconductor and data center industries. You will weld parts for valves, fittings, equipment hook-ups, manifolds, regulators, and tube press fitting systems, following detailed schematics and industry standards to produce high-quality assemblies for water, gas, chemical, and ultra-high purity applications. Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components for valves, regulators, manifolds, equipment hook-ups, and tube press fitting systems used in semiconductor and related industries. Read, interpret, and strictly adhere to weld schematics and engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication. Identify and correctly apply weld symbols and blueprint information to guide welding operations. Use basic math skills to measure, calculate, and verify dimensions and tolerances during fabrication and assembly. Apply fundamental welding principles to set up equipment, select appropriate materials and filler metals, and ensure proper weld quality. Conduct visual inspection and basic quality checks on welded parts to confirm compliance with specifications and standards. Work with stainless steel and sheet metal materials, ensuring proper preparation, fit-up, and finishing of weld joints. Follow established manufacturing processes and procedures to maintain consistency, efficiency, and safety in production. Collaborate with team members in fabrication and manufacturing to meet production schedules and quality targets. Maintain a clean and organized work area within the manufacturing environment and adhere to all safety guidelines. Essential Skills Proven TIG welding experience with stainless steel components in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Ability to read and interpret weld schematics, blueprints, and weld symbols accurately. Hands-on experience with stainless steel welding, including sheet metal and pipe applications. Experience with purge welding techniques for stainless steel pipe to ensure high-quality, contamination-free welds. Solid understanding of basic welding principles, including proper setup, technique, and weld quality standards. Basic math skills for measuring, calculating, and verifying dimensions and tolerances. Experience performing inspection and quality checks on welded parts. Background in manufacturing operations, particularly in environments producing valves, fittings, manifolds, and related assemblies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with stainless pipe welding in applications requiring high purity and clean service. Familiarity with fabrication processes involving stainless steel and sheet metal components. Comfort working with products used in water, gas, chemical, and ultra-high purity applications such as Process Cooling Water, Clean For Oxygen Service, and inert/UHP gases. Ability to contribute to fast-track construction and advanced manufacturing projects through precise and reliable welding work. Work Environment The role is based in a clean manufacturing environment focused on producing valves, regulators, equipment hook-up assemblies, manifolds, and tube press fitting systems for water, gas, chemical, and ultra-high purity applications. You initially train on a Monday-Friday day shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., then transition to a Monday-Thursday swing shift from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. with a 10% shift differential. Work centers around stainless steel fabrication, TIG welding, inspection, and manufacturing processes designed to support fast-track construction and advanced industrial projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out ofPORTLAND, OR.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
