Be prepared to perform a welding/fabrication test. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder Fitter/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, supporting our commitment to excellence in fabrication and mechanical assembly. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about metalwork, fabrication, and welding to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of metal components. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit-up and alignment. Fabricate sheet metal components and assemble metal structures utilizing hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Use mechanical knowledge to interpret technical drawings, measure materials accurately, and execute precise cuts and welds on different metal materials. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, handling tools properly, and following OSHA guidelines. Collaborate with team members on assembly processes, ensuring quality control through inspection of welds and fabricated parts. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites or in a fabrication shop environment with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes. Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding with a solid understanding of AWS standards. Familiarity with reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately. Experience operating measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for quality assurance. Mechanical fabrication experience involving sheet metal work, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly of structural components. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and working with various metal materials on construction or manufacturing sites. Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
