Job Description

DeRoyal, a leading medical supply manufacturing company, has a machine shop located on its Powell Campus and has an immediate opening for an experienced Tig Mig Welder. This is a 1st shift opportunity with working hours of Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please apply on deroyal.com/jobs Some responsibilities for the opportunity include: Possess the ability to perform all phases Tig/Mig and stick welding including aluminum, steel and stainless steel. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as press brakes, shears and saws. Sets up and operates tig welding machines. Adjusts and makes proper settings on tig machine. Identifies and makes correct decisions on proper gases used for various types of materials such as: aluminum, stainless, nickel, alloys, ferros and non-ferros metals. Ability to set-up and weld precision weldments. Must have ability to weld to proper welding specifications up to but not including boiler codes. Lays out and marks work pieces for bending and cutting; allowing for machines and welding shrinkage and other component specifications. Must possess the ability to read blue prints and engineering drawings. Determines the cut list and the amount of material needed for a job. Tacks and spots the weld. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
