Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic construction and fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welding tasks across various projects, including pipefitting, sprinkler systems, and structural fabrication. Your expertise will ensure that all welds meet safety standards, technical specifications, and project deadlines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your welding skills to build and maintain critical infrastructure components. Responsibilities Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick, and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques with precision and safety. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures. Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems, sprinkler systems, and structural components according to safety regulations and project requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and soldering equipment effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Conduct pipe welding and pipe fitting operations, including pipe threading and pipe installation on construction sites. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), and OSHA regulations during all activities. Inspect welds for quality assurance, perform maintenance on welding equipment, and troubleshoot issues as they arise on-site. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow, timely completion of projects, and compliance with all safety procedures. Experience Proven experience in welding within a construction or industrial environment, with a strong focus on pipe welding and fabrication. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of safety regulations related to welding, fire sprinkler fitting, pipe installation, and construction site operations. Familiarity with power tool safety practices and proper use of hand tools in demanding environments. Experience working on construction sites involving sprinkler systems or fire protection installations is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, assembly, maintenance, and system troubleshooting. Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary in fabrication work.
