If you are someone who can take a drawing, specification, or even an existing rack and confidently build a finished, square, production-ready assembly from the ground up, this role is for you. We are not looking for hobby welders or repair-only technicians. We are looking for true fabricators who build complete systems. What You'll Do In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle fabrication and welding work, including:
  • Build automotive material-handling racks from raw steel
  • Fabricate complete assemblies from drawings, specs, or existing samples
  • Lay out, measure, cut, fit, and assemble structural components
  • Ensure racks are square, level, and dimensionally accurate throughout the build
  • Perform MIG welding on structural steel components
  • Fabricate carts, fixtures, platforms, and industrial support equipment
  • Modify and improve existing rack designs when needed
  • Repair damaged industrial equipment and racks
  • Determine fabrication sequence and manage distortion control during welding
  • Inspect your own work for accuracy, fit, and finish before completion What We're Looking For You should be able to confidently say: > "Give me the drawing or the rack requirements, and I can build it." We are looking for someone who can:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specs
  • Independently plan and execute a full fabrication project
  • Work accurately with tape measures, squares, levels, and layout tools
  • Maintain tight dimensional control during fabrication
  • Understand welding sequence and how it affects alignment and distortion
  • Solve fabrication problems without constant supervision
  • Deliver clean, professional, production-quality work Required Skills & Experience
  • Professional fabrication and welding experience
  • Strong MIG welding ability
  • Experience building complete assemblies from raw material
  • Blueprint and fabrication drawing reading skills
  • Strong layout, measurement, and fit-up skills
  • Ability to fabricate square, repeatable assemblies
  • Experience using standard fabrication tools (saws, grinders, drills, clamps, etc.) Strongly Preferred
  • 3+ years of fabrication experience
  • Automotive rack or material-handling equipment fabrication
  • Experience building jigs, fixtures, or production-style assemblies
  • Prototype-to-production fabrication experience
  • Industrial or manufacturing environment experience About ROTAG Services ROTAG Services, LLC provides industrial fabrication, repair, inspection, and asset management solutions for automotive and manufacturing operations.
We work inside high-demand production environments where quality, safety, and precision matter every day. We are building a team of skilled tradespeople who take pride in craftsmanship and problem-solving. Application Requirement When applying, please include a brief description of:
  • The most complex item you have personally fabricated from raw material
  • Your role in that build
  • Any photos of your fabrication work (if available) Important Note If your experience is primarily limited to welding repairs and you have not built complete fabricated assemblies from raw material, this position is not the right fit.
We are specifically looking for fabricators who build—not just weld.
