$[XX-XX]/hour, based on experience We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for fabricating, fitting, welding, and finishing metal components and assemblies according to drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate can work independently from fabrication drawings, accurately lay out and fit components, and consistently produce clean, high-quality work. Responsibilities Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols Measure, lay out, cut, drill, fit, and assemble metal components Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and other materials as required Fit and tack assemblies prior to final welding Use grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment Verify dimensions and tolerances using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other measuring tools Grind, deburr, and finish fabricated components Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality Identify fabrication issues and make appropriate adjustments Maintain welding and fabrication equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE Assist with material handling and other shop duties as needed Qualifications Previous welding and metal fabrication experience preferred Strong MIG welding skills Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings Good knowledge of measuring, layout, fit-up, and shop math Experience using common metal fabrication tools and equipment Ability to work accurately from dimensions and tolerances Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail Ability to safely lift and handle materials associated with fabrication work Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication Sheet metal fabrication Stainless steel or aluminum TIG welding Plasma cutting Grinding and finish work Welding fixtures and jigs What We're Looking For We want someone who takes pride in their workmanship. A successful candidate should be able to look at a drawing, understand how the assembly goes together, fabricate it accurately, and check their own work before it moves to the next operation. Quality, accuracy, productivity, and safety are important in this position.
Pay:
$23.00 - $30.91 per hour
