Overview:
As a Welder-Level III you will specialize in welding thin gauge materials that are utilized in Aerospace and FAI (First Article Inspection) parts, structural assemblies, complex weldments, any non-conventional welding or cutting with extremely tight tolerance. As a welder-level III you are trusted with the most important parts and projects, including prototype welding. Required to take client specific trainings and certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
(include but not limited to) : Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following: Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Maintain a safe and clean work area. Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work order, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding Specialize in welding thin gauge materials, extremely tight tolerance welds, complex weldments and parts requiring extensive fixtures and weld jigs Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys Perform any non-conventional welding or cutting: FCAW (flux-cored arc welding), Oxy-Fuel cutting or welding/brazing, Plasma Cutting Check and maintain welding equipment for proper operation, safety and/or perform any needed maintenance. Pass and Maintain various welding certifications as necessary. Work with engineers and help establish a Prototype(s) Perform other jobs or functions assigned by manager
Qualifications:
Minimum Preferred Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following: High School Diploma or GED At least three (3) years of welding experience. Two (2) years of technical training, continued education.
- May substitute an additional year of work experience for required education.
Must own all tools required for the position.
