Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Corrugated Metal Hose Welder is responsible for welding and assembling corrugated metal hose and fittings according to production specifications and quality standards. This position requires precision TIG welding (GTAW) on stainless steel and other alloys used in flexible hose assemblies. The welder plays a key role in ensuring all hose assemblies meet performance, pressure, and leak integrity requirements.

Pay $24.00 plus
DOE Key Responsibilities:
Perform TIG welding on corrugated stainless-steel hose and fittings (SS to SS, SS to carbon steel, etc.). Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and assembly drawings to determine proper setup and weld sequence. Prepare and fit components for welding, including cutting, deburring, and cleaning materials. Ensure accurate alignment and proper penetration of welds to maintain structural integrity and pressure performance. Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to ensure quality standards are met. Conduct and/or assist in hydrostatic or pressure testing of completed hose assemblies. Record and track daily production and weld information per work order requirements. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workstations in good working condition. Follow all company safety procedures and use proper PPE at all times. Assist with training or mentoring new welders as needed. Support continuous improvement, 5S, and quality initiatives within the department.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 1-2 years of TIG welding experience; experience in hose, tube, or pipe welding preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints, weld symbols, and technical work instructions. Proficient in TIG welding stainless steel (thin wall) and other metals used in hose assemblies. Able to measure, cut, and prep materials accurately using hand and power tools. Must pass company welding test (TIG/GTAW) prior to employment. Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts as required by production.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing floor with moderate to high noise levels and exposure to heat, fumes, and moving machinery. We require wearing safety gear including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots. Work involves handling metal parts and hoses of varying sizes and lengths.
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
