Position Summary The ASME Code Welder / Fabricator performs pressureboundary welding and fabrication activities required to manufacture ASME Section VIII, Division 1 pressure vessels and pressureretaining items. This role executes welding strictly in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), ASME Section IX qualifications, and the RVS Quality Control Manual. Code Welders are responsible for layout, fitup, welding, and preparation of vessels for inspection, testing, and coating. The ASME Code Welder / Fabricator job family includes Apprentice, Welder, and Senior Welder levels. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform welding on pressureretaining components in accordance with approved WPS. Verify drawings, weld symbols, traveler requirements, and material identification prior to welding. Maintain pressureboundary material traceability throughout fabrication. Prepare joint fitup, tack welds, backgouging, and surface preparation as required. Produce welds capable of meeting ASME acceptance criteria and NDE requirements. Document welding activity on travelers and quality records as required. Participate in inspection, NDE coordination, and repair activities. Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment. Follow all safety, quality and procedural requirements
