Job Description

Job Title:
ASME Welder/Fabricators Refrigeration Vessels & Systems (RVS) located in Bryan, Texas is seeking to hire ASME Welder/Fabricators with Pressure Vessel experience. RVS, a wholly owned subsidiary of EVAPCO, Inc., is an industry leading manufacturer of pressure vessels and vessel package systems used in the Industrial Refrigeration and Industrial Process industries.
Job Summary:
ASME Code Welder/Fabricators are responsible for welding all features onto the vessel including, but not limited to nozzles, heads, flanges, test connections, internals among other specified items. To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to use Pulsed MIG welding to ASME Section VIII code specifications. Must be willing to work shift hours: Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day from the hours of 8:30 pm
  • 7:00 am. Hired candidates will train on day shift Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day from the hours of 7:00 am
  • 3:30 pm.
While this is a second shift position, there will be future opportunities to apply for day shift positions.
Desired Skills:
Pipe welding experience in
GTAW & GMAW-P
in the 6G position. Open root welds from one side with GMAW-P Experience producing X-ray quality welds. Capable of fitting up weldments with consideration for tolerance, shrinkage, & heat induced distortion. Experience with stainless steel.
Required Skills:
Certification or ability to pass certification in carbon steel with Pulsed MIG (GMAW-P) in the horizontal & vertical positions. Capable of reading blueprints including weld symbols. Capable of vessel layout, carbon-arc gouging & oxy-fuel cutting. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Experience welding/fitting vessels, 2 plus years.
Other requirements:
