DOE Schedule:

Monday-Friday 10 hour 7:00am-5:00pm shifts & possible 8-hour shifts on Saturday 7:00am-3:00pm. MUST have

FLUX CORE

welding experience. NO PER DIEM or travel pay.

Structural Steel Test:

• 3G Vertical weld test coupon.
• Two carbon steel plates 6" x 12" x 1/2".
• FCAW
• Dual shield, flux core process.
• Welder will bevel plate.
• Open root beveled groove weld.
• Root to be ground out and stringer pass made after front side completed.
• Stringer bead root and caps no weaving.

Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of structural components
• Measure and mark materials for welding using various tools and equipment
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
• Monitor the welding process to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
• Inspect welds for defects and perform necessary repairs or adjustments
• Clean and maintain welding equipment and work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a structural welder
• Proficient in various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Familiarity with different types of metals and alloys used in structural welding
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks
