Welder/Fabricator 121 Industrial Boulevard, Gilmer, TX 75644 $18

  • Full-time About us Applied Metalurgical is a startup manufacturer of completed components for a variety of industries including Medical, transportation and industrial machinery.
We produce our own castings and machine them complete to our customers specifications. The work is demanding but the teamate focused environment lets outstanding performers thrive. Duties:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine job specifications
  • Fabricate and assemble metal parts using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools
  • Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and grind metal components
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet industry standards and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute fabrication projects
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to codes and standards for welding and fabrication work
Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding principles and techniques
  • Experience operating a forklift or willingness to learn
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Proficient in soldering techniques for joining metal components
  • Knowledge of ductwork fabrication is a plus
  • Familiarity with codes and standards related to welding and fabrication work
  • Ability to use a press brake machine for bending metal sheets is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
