Job Description

TIG Welding Fabricator Job Description This role focuses on fabricating and TIG welding a variety of components for the production department in accordance with engineering drawings, safety procedures, approved weld procedures, and quality assurance standards. The TIG Welding Fabricator ensures that all welded assemblies meet dimensional, structural, and visual quality requirements while supporting efficient and safe production operations. Responsibilities Fabricate and weld components using TIG welding techniques in line with drawing specifications and production requirements. Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to produce accurate and precise welded assemblies. Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment and fabrication tools to complete jobs safely and efficiently. Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals to produce high-quality welds that meet approved weld procedures. Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with quality assurance standards. Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area to support safe shop operations. Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve fabrication or welding issues and improve processes. Document work as required, including recording any deviations, rework, or issues encountered during fabrication and welding. Essential Skills Minimum 2 years of TIG welding experience. Proficiency in TIG welding on stainless steel. Proficiency in TIG welding on aluminum. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience in metal fabrication in a production or shop environment. Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and best practices. Ability to follow approved weld procedures and quality assurance standards. Attention to detail with strong focus on weld quality and accuracy. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing production department. Ability to use a variety of fabrication tools and equipment in a shop environment. Strong problem-solving skills when addressing fabrication or weld-related issues. Good communication skills to work effectively with production and quality teams. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required, and a practical, safety-focused dress code applies to support safe and efficient welding and fabrication work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Granbury, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
