Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and weld structural components based on blueprints and specifications
  • Use basic math skills to calculate measurements and angles for precise welding
  • Operate FCAW welding equipment to join metal parts together
  • Utilize cranes and other lifting equipment to position and secure materials for welding
  • Work with sheet metal and use calipers to measure and cut materials accurately
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand welding requirements and specifications
  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as soldering, brazing, and arc welding
  • Conduct inspections of welded structures to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications
Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass 6GR Welding Test.
  • Proven experience in structural welding or a related field
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding welding symbols
  • Strong knowledge of different welding techniques, including FCAW, MIG, TIG, and stick welding
  • Familiarity with operating cranes and other lifting equipment safely
  • Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools accurately
  • Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and angles
  • Knowledge of machining processes is a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
  • This job is in Channelview, TX in a Fabrication Yard Night Shift.
Currently working 56 hours per week. 4X10's and 2X8's.
