Full-Time Job Description Ōnin Staffing is hiring an experienced Welder for a local manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for welding, weld preparation, and finishing operations to produce quality products according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This position requires previous hands-on welding work experience. Welding school or classroom training alone does NOT qualify. Candidates must have actually worked as a welder in a professional or industrial setting. Responsibilities Perform welding, weld preparation, and weld finishing operations Follow mechanical drawings, specifications, and work instructions Set up welding equipment and adjust welding parameters such as amps and volts Select appropriate wire and filler materials for different metals and applications Use measuring tools and equipment to ensure accuracy Inspect completed welds and products for quality Perform finish grinding using manual and power tools Maintain welding equipment and work areas Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Safely move materials and products as needed Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
Requirements Previous hands-on welding work experience is
REQUIRED
Welding school/training without actual welding work experience will not qualify Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and basic weld symbols Experience with welding equipment setup and welding parameters Ability to use conventional and precision measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions Welding certifications are preferred but not required Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has real-world welding experience , is comfortable working from drawings and specifications, understands welding setup and parameters, and takes pride in producing clean, quality welds. Experience with different steel alloys, aluminum, or other materials is a plus.
