Galaxy Lifts is seeking a motivated individual to join as a Welder/Fabricator who is skilled in Aluminum MIG welding for the fabrication of our cargo and passenger lifts.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES
Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE). Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts. Align and clamp work pieces together or position items in fixtures or jigs. Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage. Adhere to the production schedule. Grind, cut, buff or bend edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit using power grinders and hand tools. Inspect the final product for quality assurance. Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
High School diploma or equivalent required. 4+ years of experience in Aluminum MIG Welding with a push/pull gun in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and understand blueprints and designs. Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance. Local to Mabank-Athens, TX or willing to relocate. Highly ethical, positive culture addition, self-motivated.
