Job Summary The Welderis responsible forproducing high-quality welds on structural steel components and assemblies used in pre-engineered metal building (PEMB), structural steel, and mission-critical infrastructure projects. This position performs welding and fabrication activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentutilizingadvanced equipment, robotics, and automated production systems. The Welder works closely with fitters, operators, quality personnel, supervisors, and engineering teams to ensure structural steel components meet AWS standards, project specifications, quality requirements, and production schedules. This role plays a critical part in supporting safe operations, minimizing rework, and maintainingAlliedscommitment to manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on structural steel assemblies, beams, columns, frames, connections, and fabricated components. Perform FCAW, SMAW, or other welding processes as required by project specifications and production requirements. Weld componentsin accordance withAWS standards, welding procedures, engineering drawings, and quality requirements. Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, work instructions, and production travelers to ensure proper assembly and weld placement. Verify fit-up, alignment, weld size, andcomponentorientation prior to welding. Assistwith fabrication activities including grinding, fitting, gouging, material preparation, and weld cleanup. Operate safely around robotic welding cells, automated production equipment, conveyors, and material handling systems. Perform visual inspection of completed welds to verify quality, appearance, penetration, and compliance with specifications. Identify and communicate quality concerns, weld defects, or fabrication discrepancies requiring corrective action. Maintain productivity levels while meeting quality standards and production schedules.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of welding experience in structural steel fabrication, heavy manufacturing, industrial construction, or related environments. Experience welding structural steel components used in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred. Experience working in production-driven manufacturing environmentsis preferred. Experience working alongside automated or robotic welding systems is a plus.
Education:
High school diploma or GEDrequired.
Certifications:
Technical school welding certification preferred. AWS certification preferred. Ability to pass Alliedweldingqualification testsrequired. Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred. Completion of a welding program that includes blueprint reading and safety training is desirable. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and welding practices. Understanding ofAWS welding symbols,weldprocedures, and visual inspection requirements. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld maps, blueprints, and production documentation. Familiarity with structural steel manufacturing, PEMB components, and fabricated assemblies. Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds while meeting production requirements. Knowledge of welding equipment setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with robotic welding systems and automated manufacturing processes preferred. Ability toidentifyweld defects and perform corrective actions whenrequired. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and productivity. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to [e.g., 50 pounds] regularly. Ability to work ina variety ofenvironmental conditionscommonto a manufacturing facility (e.g., varying temperatures, noise levels, potential for dust/debris, and wetfloors). Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating equipment and handling supplies.

Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (6:00 am
  • 2:00 pm), 2nd Shift (2:00 pm
  • 10:00 pm), 3rd Shift (10:00 pm
  • 6:00 am) Overtime andsome weekend work may berequired.
Benefits:
