We're looking for dependable welders who take pride in producing high-quality work and can successfully pass a weld test.
Pay:
Starting at $38+/hour, depending on experience Responsibilities Perform 5G & 6G carbon pipe welding. Weld carbon steel pipe in both uphill (vertical up) and downhill (vertical down) positions. Fabricate and install piping in active industrial production facilities. Work with butt weld and socket weld carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems up to 8-inch diameter . Read and interpret plan view, elevation view, blueprints, isometric drawings, and weld symbols. Coordinate the installation of valves, instruments, and piping systems according to project drawings. Generate isometric drawings for shop fabrication and field installation. Perform proper take-offs and determine cut lengths using field measurements and project drawings. Field route piping as required by project conditions and client specifications. Work with welded, threaded, carbon steel, and stainless steel piping systems. Complete root, hot pass, fill, and cap welds. Inspect weld quality and ensure compliance with project specifications. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Recognize potential safety hazards and follow OSHA and company safety policies. Keep Project Managers informed of job progress, milestones, and any issues affecting the schedule. Qualifications Current 5G & 6G Carbon Pipe Welding Certification or ability to pass a weld test. Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, preferably with a Mechanical Contractor or Prime Contractor in an industrial environment. Must be proficient welding uphill and downhill on carbon pipe . Experience with butt weld and socket weld carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and isometric drawings. Must have the tools and PPE required for the job. Must successfully pass a drug screen. Why Trade Management?
