Job Description

Temp to Hire $20•$24/hr
Hours:
6am•4pm with a 1 hour lunch Mon•Thurs and 6am to 10am on Friday GTAW (TIG)
PROCESS PIPE WELDING 1 EA V-GROOVE OPEN ROOT S40 316 PIPE TEST REQUIRED MAJOR DUTIES/FUNCTIONS 1.
Perform welding tasks in the manufacture of products to conform with specifications and certification requirements 2. Weld production and more difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts in various materials including stainless steel, precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and/or MIG 3. May operate program welding machine to weld production units 4. Set up fixtures and lay out work for production and prototype piece parts 5. Trouble shoot problem welding areas 6. May train other welders and/or provide welding support to others as needed 7. May work with various internal departments to establish welding process parameters 8. Welds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product 7. Participate in continuous improvement processes 8. Recommend changes to and participate in the review of manufacturing procedures 9. Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area 10. Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision 11. Perform work of a miscellaneous nature as required
Welding Test:
The Test:
1G open root on 3" sch. 80 316ss (Minimum). Must pass X-ray. If candidate passes this test we will move to 6
G Growth:
6G proficiency will be required in the future
