Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, this role plays a critical part in supporting our operations by performing high‑quality welding, fabrication, and metalwork across a variety of structures and systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a commitment to excellence, and a dedication to practicing the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors in every task. Position Summary Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Welder's main task is to: Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Welding using Mig, Tig and Stick Weld structures, piping, and general welding of anything. Plan work by interpreting blueprint Determine welding position and type of metal welded. Select and set up welding equipment. Ensure welds meet standards and specifications. Use plasma to cut and trim metal objects. Exhibit and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors.
Knowledge and Skills:
AWS certified welder Minimum 3G plate test unless specifies are listed. Able to follow all safety rule and procedures.
Work Experience:
Five years welding experience required.
Skills and Competencies:
Able to read and interpret WPS (Welding Procedure specification) and PQR (Procedure Qualification Record) Knowledge of our quality policy and objectives Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use their hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The team member frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally move or manipulate drums weighing between 200-500 pounds.
