Structural Welder Job Description An innovative and rapidly growing solar manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Structural Welder to join its team. You will help build high-quality steel structures that support advanced solar infrastructure and contribute directly to a more sustainable future. Responsibilities Perform structural welding on steel components used in solar manufacturing and infrastructure systems. Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Execute MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements. Inspect welds for quality, penetration, and adherence to structural, safety, and project standards. Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, cutting torches, and measuring tools safely and effectively. Ensure all work meets structural integrity, quality assurance, and code compliance standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while consistently following all safety protocols. Collaborate with fabrication, engineering, and production teams to meet project deadlines and production goals. Identify and report defects, safety concerns, or opportunities for process improvements to supervisors or relevant team members. Essential Skills Minimum 3+ years of proven experience as a structural welder in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of structural welding techniques, materials, and fabrication processes. Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) structural welding, including setup, operation, and quality control. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols accurately. Experience working with carbon steel and/or stainless steel in structural applications. Familiarity with safety procedures and OSHA standards in a production or industrial setting. Ability to use measuring tools and fabrication equipment accurately and consistently. Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to high-quality workmanship. Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods in a production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications AWS (American Welding Society) certifications such as AWS Certified Welder (CW).

Structural Welding Code - Stainless Steel Certification. Additional structural welding certifications or formal trade school training in welding or metal fabrication. Experience in renewable energy, solar, or large-scale manufacturing environments. Multi-process welding experience, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
