Job Description

CHEMTED LLC, an ASME-certified fabrication company specializing in pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers , is seeking experienced Fitters and MIG Welders to join our growing team in Rio Vista, Texas. We are looking for skilled professionals who can read and interpret blueprints, perform high-quality welds and fit up large tanks and pressure vessels with precision.
Responsibilities:
Fit and assemble pressure vessels, tanks, and components. Perform MIG welding (GMAW) on carbon steel materials. Read and interpret drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication blueprints accurately. Ensure quality, alignment, and dimensional accuracy before welding. Collaborate with team members and follow all shop safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in pressure vessel or tank fabrication. Proficient in MIG welding and fit-up of shells, heads, and nozzles . Ability to read and understand drawings and weld symbols . Must pass a weld test and interview. Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM 40-48 hours per week (overtime as needed)
Pay:
$25 - $35 per hour Pay depends on experience and weld test/interview results. 1099 position (independent contractor)
