Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects, ensuring all work meets quality specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication tasks, utilizing a variety of welding techniques and mechanical skills to bring complex designs to life. Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately cut, weld, and assemble metal parts. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal components. Fabricate sheet metal structures and components with attention to detail, safety protocols, and quality control. Assemble fabricated parts on construction sites or in fabrication shops, ensuring proper fitment using mechanical knowledge and assembly techniques. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times during construction site activities or shop operations. Qualifications Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures. Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical drawings accurately. Hands-on experience with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for quality assurance. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop processes, metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and perform basic shop math calculations confidently. Experience working with construction or fabrication projects involving steel structures or metal materials is highly desirable.
