Fitter/Welder Location:
Hockley, TX, US Job Type:
Full-Time Compensation:
$19.00 - $22.00 Hourly The Role We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fitter/Welder to join a fast-paced production team. In this role, you will be the hands-on force behind the fabrication and assembly of heavy metal structures and components. By accurately interpreting technical blueprints and applying precise fitting and welding techniques, you will ensure the structural integrity, durability, and top-tier quality of every product that leaves the shop.
What You'll Do Read & Interpret:
Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine accurate layout and welding requirements.
Fit & Assemble:
Measure, cut, shape, and align metal components to exact dimensions before welding.
Weld:
Execute high-quality welds using FCAW and other specialized techniques to join metal parts securely.
Quality Control:
Inspect all welds and assemblies to ensure they are defect-free and compliant with strict industry standards.
Maintain Equipment:
Care for and troubleshoot welding tools and shop machinery to keep them in safe, working condition.
Collaborate:
Work closely with supervisors and the shop team to execute fabrication projects safely and on schedule.
What You Bring Experience:
Proven track record as a fitter/welder in a heavy manufacturing, metal fabrication, or construction environment.
Technical Skills:
Exceptional ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, with strong measurement and layout skills.
Welding Expertise:
Proficiency in FCAW welding and operating standard metal fabrication machinery.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Welder, or knowledge of AWS, ASME, or API welding codes. Additional inspection or fitting certifications are a major plus.

Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $19.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
