You will operate a variety of manual and automated welding equipment and tools, including torches, soldering irons, and brazing machines, to join, cut, or repair metal components. Responsibilities include preparing workpieces by cleaning, measuring, and marking, ensuring precise alignment according to technical instructions. Youll be responsible for inspecting completed welds and connections for strength and compliance, performing quality checks using visual and measurement tools. Adherence to safety standards and proper handling of hazardous materials are essential, as is maintaining a clean and organized work area. Youll collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes. Efficiently documenting work performed and reporting any equipment malfunctions is expected. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and proficiency with welding, cutting, soldering, and brazing techniques. Familiarity with various metals, alloys, and welding codes is beneficial. Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying environments, including exposure to heat, noise, and dust, are required.
