PM Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and motivated Welders (Level 1) to support production operations. This role is responsible for fabricating and welding high-quality custom products while maintaining strict tolerances and adhering to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily functions as directed by jobs, supervisors, and/or leads to maintain production output standards Learn and apply new fabrication techniques based on customer requirements Participate in welding and fabrication of complex custom weldments requiring high precision Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications Maintain and care for company tools, equipment, tooling, and fixtures Perform strong penetration welds and identify/correct discontinuities Inspect, clean, cut, burn, and prepare materials for welding Measure workpieces using tools such as tape measures, squares, and visual inspection devices Safely handle materials using forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes Report labor and production quantities using the Manufacturing Execution System Inspect sub-assemblies and final products to ensure specifications are met
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required Previous welding/fabrication experience preferred (especially heavy structural steel) Must pass welder and fitting test Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the facility Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly Comfortable working in a plant environment with fluctuating temperatures Must meet vision requirements (with or without corrective lenses) Ability to be certified in overhead and jib crane operation Must pass AWS certification for Flux Core and Hardwire welding (all positions) Ability to set up and operate wire feed welding machines Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Must pass company forklift training Ability to read a tape measure and use various squares Must bring basic welding equipment on Day 1 (hood, steel-toe boots, gauges, etc.) Must provide full toolset within 90 days (list provided during interview) Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control Ability to read and understand written work instructions
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to use hands for tools, controls, and equipment operation Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, dust, temperature changes, machinery) Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work at heights if required Maintain visual acuity for reading instructions and operating equipment Ability to hear and communicate effectively for safety and teamwork Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
