About North American Kitchen Solutions Join a winning team! NAKS is a market leader in the design and manufacture of commercial kitchen ventilation systems. For over 35 years, we've provided high-quality, American-made exhaust hoods, fans, and custom fabrication for the foodservice industry. Our Venus, TX facility is a critical part of our mission to deliver precision-crafted solutions with the fastest lead times in the industry. Job Overview We are looking for a skilled TIG Welder specializing in stainless steel to join our 1st shift production team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality kitchen ventilation components where precision and appearance are paramount. If you have a "stack of dimes" TIG technique and a sharp eye for detail, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities Precision Welding:
Perform high-quality TIG welding on light-to-medium gauge stainless steel.
Blueprint Reading:
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure all parts are built to exact customer specifications.
Measurement & Layout:
Use tape measures, calipers, and squares to layout and check work with high accuracy.
Fabrication:
Set up and operate various shop tools (grinders, saws, etc.) to prep materials for welding.
Quality Control:
Inspect your own welds to ensure they meet NAKS' high standards for both strength and finish.
Safety:
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols to ensure a productive environment.
Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience in TIG welding, specifically with stainless steel .
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and shop drawings.
Precision:
Proficiency with standard measuring tools (tape measure, calipers).
Detail-Oriented:
A focus on producing "clean" welds that require minimal finishing.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic and punctuality for the 1st shift schedule.
Certifications:
AWS certification is a plus but not required if skills can be demonstrated via a weld test. Why Join NAKS?

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
