Responsibilities Perform MIG welding using .035 hard wire Weld mild steel ranging from 1/8" to 1/2" thick, with occasional projects up to 1" Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols Set up welding machines, including voltage and amperage adjustments Fit up and align parts using fixtures and jigs Produce clean, smooth welds that meet quality standards Verify dimensions using measuring tools Follow shop safety and quality procedures Qualifications At least 1 year of MIG welding experience Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols Experience setting up your own welding machine Ability to fit and prepare parts for welding Ability to accurately read a tape measure Strong attention to detail and quality Preferred Experience Fabrication shop welding FCAW / Flux Core welding Manufacturing or production environment experience Pay $19.00 - $24.00 per hour Pay is based on welding ability, fabrication experience, blueprint reading skills, and overall qualifications.
