Job Description

Job Responsibilities Sets up manual weld machine or downloads program per set up sheet instructions. Verifies proper filler, tooling, and gas flow is prepared in the robot or staged in manual area per set up instructions. Reviews weld requirements from weld prints (size, spacing, location, etc.). Loads and locates parts into tooling per print and work instructions. Welds parts per customer provided prints. Removes weld spatter and scale from finished parts. Performs quality checks per set up sheet. Maintains welding equipment and sees that work area is orderly and clean. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Skills Requirements Able to read and understand basic blueprints and weld instructions. Education/Experience Requirements One year certificate from college or technical school; or One year related experience and/or training. Physical & Environmental Requirements Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material. Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours). Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours). Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours). May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
