Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced Aluminum TIG Welders for shop work in Chesapeake, VA. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with steady hours, overtime potential, and long-term growth opportunities. Candidates must have experience TIG welding thin aluminum sheet metal.
Job Duties:
Perform TIG welding on thin aluminum sheet metal components Read and interpret basic fabrication drawings and specifications Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Produce high-quality welds with minimal distortion or burn-through Use basic hand tools and measuring devices Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assist with fabrication and fitting as needed
Requirements:
Must have experience TIG welding thin aluminum Experience with sheet metal welding preferred Must be able to pass an aluminum TIG weld test Must have basic hand tools and welding helmet Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Must be dependable and able to work overtime as needed
Pay Rate:
$20.00•$30.00/hour (Based on experience and weld test results)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday:
6:00 AM•2:30 PM or 6:00 AM•4:30
PM Saturdays:
6:00 AM•12:00 PM #ISS
