- Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fitting, with a strong ability to work with various materials. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fab shop.
- Duties
- Assemble components and structures by welding and fitting materials according to specifications.
- Utilize various welding techniques, to ensure high-quality welds.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Perform inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area .
- Operate forklifts as needed for transporting materials around the site.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Skills
- Proficient in rigging techniques and safe practices.
- Strong knowledge of FCAW welding processes and equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly tasks.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding projects.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus for material handling tasks.
