The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on various metal components, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates must be detail oriented, punctual, able to communicate with others, and willing to work in a team environment. The work will be physically demanding and you will be working on your feet most the day, including some heavy lifting (up to 100lbs). This is a full-time position; 4-day workweek, Monday - Thursday 7:00-5:15 (40 hours per week) Some potential overtime. Responsibilities and Duties NJ Sullivan is a leading fabricator of products for the electrical construction industry. Candidate will be exposed to the latest technologies in metal fabrication; laser cutting, CNC punching, robotic welding, powder coating and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements. Perform MIG (TIG optional), and/or Stick welding on steel, aluminum, and other metals. Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools. Inspect welded surfaces and structures for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. Collaborate with fabricators, machinists, and engineers to meet production goals. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company procedures. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any malfunctions. Document work performed and maintain accurate production records. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED; technical certification in welding preferred. 2+ years of welding experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols. Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures). Strong understanding of safety standards and PPE requirements. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
