Entry-Level / Beginner Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and dependable Beginner Welder / Fabricator to join our fabrication team. This is an entry-level position for someone interested in developing their welding and metal fabrication skills in a hands-on shop environment. The ideal candidate is willing to learn, takes pride in their work, follows safety procedures, and can work effectively as part of a team. Welding experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate. Responsibilities Assist with welding and metal fabrication projects. Learn and perform MIG welding under the direction of experienced welders. Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions. Measure, cut, grind, drill, and prepare metal for fabrication. Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely. Set up materials and work areas for fabrication jobs. Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Assist experienced welders and fabricators with larger projects. Learn proper welding techniques, equipment operation, and fabrication processes. Qualifications Willingness to learn welding and fabrication. Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements. Good attendance and dependable work habits. Ability to follow instructions and work safely. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required . Welding school or technical training is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and move materials as required. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and work in various positions. Ability to work around heat, sparks, noise, dust, and metal fabrication equipment.
