Job Description

Welder - Full-Time | 2nd Shift | Multiple Openings Port View Resources is hiring welders for one of our partner companies. This is a full-time job in a shop environment with steady hours and overtime available. Shift 2nd
Shift:
Monday - Thursday, 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM (4 days, 10 hours each) Overtime is available but not required. A 15% shift differential is offered. Starting pay is $29 to $33.50 per hour. What You'll Do Weld metal parts and structures using MIG welding Read blueprints and work drawings to know what to build Set up and use welding equipment (power sources, wire feeders, gas systems) Choose the right tools and methods for each job Check your work to make sure welds are strong and meet quality standards Fix or update metal structures when needed Keep your work area clean and follow all safety rules Work with your team — including other welders, engineers, and quality staff Report any equipment problems to your supervisor Learn new skills and stay up to date with welding methods What You Need High school diploma or GED (welding trade school or certification is a plus) At least 3 years of experience as a professional welder MIG welding skills Ability to read blueprints and work drawings Knowledge of metals like steel, aluminum, and stainless steel Familiarity with welding codes (AWS, ASME) is helpful Welding certifications are preferred but not always required Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Can work on your own and as part of a team About Port View Resources Port View Resources connects skilled workers, manufacturing support, and engineers with great manufacturing and engineering companies.
