Job Description

Welder/Fitter - Marine Position Summary We're looking for an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our marine fabrication team. In this role, you'll work on a wide range of vessels—from commercial fishing boats and tugboats to ferries and aluminum government craft. Our facility includes a 200‑ft dock and supports major repair, rebuild, and repower projects, offering steady, hands‑on work with large‑scale marine structures. If you enjoy tackling complex metalwork and contributing to high‑visibility vessel upgrades, this is an excellent opportunity. What You'll Be Doing Perform welding and fitting tasks on marine vessels of various sizes and configurations. Carry out structural fabrication using MIG welding for repairs, modifications, and new construction. Read and follow job specifications, drawings, and fabrication requirements. Support ongoing vessel projects by completing assigned welds and fits safely and accurately. Key Qualifications Strong background in welding and fitting within shipyards or marine environments. Proficiency in MIG welding , including structural and fabrication work. Required Tools & Equipment Candidates must bring: Personal welding hood Metalguided leathers/PPE Basic fabrication tools (e.g., chipping hammer, hand tools, etc.) Why This Role Stands Out Work alongside a skilled marine crew in an environment centered around craftsmanship and problem‑solving. Work Setting Standard schedule:
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Team composition: 30-40 core employees, with additional temporary workers during peak project periods. Shop and dock facilities built specifically for large‑scale marine work, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
