Job Description
Job Title:
Welder Shift:
7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on stainless steel components to build and assemble the framing of industrial ovens. Carry out Heliarc/TIG welding as needed to join stainless steel parts and ensure strong, clean welds. Weld external pieces of industrial ovens together, following specifications and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints or fabrication drawings to complete welding and fitting tasks accurately. Fit, align, and clamp workpieces into position prior to welding to maintain correct dimensions and tolerances. Inspect welds for quality, cleanliness, and structural integrity, making adjustments as necessary. Work in close proximity to other welders and assemblers while maintaining safe and efficient work habits. Maintain a consistent, reliable presence at work and contribute positively to the team environment. Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment while operating in an industrial shop. Essential Skills At least 1-2 years of hands-on welding experience in an industrial setting. Proficiency in MIG welding, especially on stainless steel components. Experience performing clean, precise welds suitable for production-quality industrial equipment. Ability to work with stainless steel materials using MIG and Heliarc/TIG processes. Basic blueprint reading skills to understand and follow fabrication and assembly requirements. Strong reliability and work ethic, with the ability to show up consistently and work with a positive attitude. Comfort working in a fast-paced, industrial shop environment alongside other welders and fitters. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsport, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
