We are seeking a full or part-time stainless-steel MIG welder/fabricator and have multiple openings to fill. We are looking for a candidate who is hard-working, dependable, experienced, punctual, and takes pride in their work. Applicants must be proficient in MIG welding, use of general tools, and medium-duty assembly work. This is an ideal position for the welder who doesn't like to stand in one place all day doing repetitive work. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, measuring tapes, and shop math skills to ensure precise fabrication and assembly of metal components. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials. Fabricate metal structures on the shop floor or construction site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while documenting work progress through shift reports and quality logs. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites or fabrication shops with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes. Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, with knowledge of AWS standards. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints confidently. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and measuring tapes for precise fabrication work. Experience operating power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and hand tools safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to metal fabrication processes including sheet metal fabrication and structural steel assembly. Familiarity with safety protocols relevant to welding environments and construction sites; adherence is mandatory. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for complex projects. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining high-quality standards.
