Welder Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, adjust, and regulate welding machines to produce high-quality weldments and blades.
- Perform MIG welding and fabricate steel components to required specifications.
- Participate in production welding processes for truck-mounted equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Read and interpret prints or documentation to perform accurate tack and bead welds.
- Operate hand and power tools for grinding, beveling, and fitting metals for proper assembly.
- Select appropriate holders and regulate welding time and technique to achieve consistent results.
Welder:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Welding certification, technical training, or vocational education in welding preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of direct MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production welding environment required.
- Experience welding carbon steel components and structural weldments to specifications.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, shop drawings, and work instructions required.
- Experience performing production welding on fabricated assemblies, weldments, or heavy equipment components preferred.
- Experience using welding fixtures, jigs, grinders, and fabrication tools required.
- Experience inspecting weld quality and identifying weld defects such as undercut, porosity, incomplete fusion, and distortion preferred.
