QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Welder at a company in Milwaukee, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift, apply today!
Welder Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, adjust, and regulate welding machines to produce high-quality weldments and blades.
  • Perform MIG welding and fabricate steel components to required specifications.
  • Participate in production welding processes for truck-mounted equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Read and interpret prints or documentation to perform accurate tack and bead welds.
  • Operate hand and power tools for grinding, beveling, and fitting metals for proper assembly.
  • Select appropriate holders and regulate welding time and technique to achieve consistent results.
Requirements for
Welder:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Welding certification, technical training, or vocational education in welding preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of direct MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production welding environment required.
  • Experience welding carbon steel components and structural weldments to specifications.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, shop drawings, and work instructions required.
  • Experience performing production welding on fabricated assemblies, weldments, or heavy equipment components preferred.
  • Experience using welding fixtures, jigs, grinders, and fabrication tools required.
  • Experience inspecting weld quality and identifying weld defects such as undercut, porosity, incomplete fusion, and distortion preferred.
