Job Description

Summary:
Manually weld materials and components to specification
Essential Function:
  • Set up and manually operate weld machine
  • Perform welding processes on materials including mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Use weld fixtures, gauges, and jigs when appropriate
  • Produce production parts as per specified requirements
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, hoist or crane to move product
  • Perform quality inspection to ensure parts are produced to specification
  • Adhere to business management system (BMS), as applicable
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
  • Knowledge of MIG/TIG/Resistance welding principles
  • General manufacturing experience and knowledge of different materials
  • Basic to intermediate math, computer, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of welding machine adjustments
  • General knowledge of grinders, power tools and other small hand tools, including tape measure and caliper
  • Read and understand prints, weld symbols, process sheets, and other documents
Physical Exposure:
  • Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting
  • Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Grinding sparks and dust
  • Oils/solvents on materials
  • Exposure to weld flash and smoke
  • Sharp edges on parts or material
