Typical Work Hours:
M-Th 4am to 2pm and OT as needed on Fridays
VACATION & HOLIDAY HOURS COUNT AS HOURS WORKED TOWARD OVERTIME DOUBLE TIME PAID FOR ANY OVERTIME HOURS WORKED BEYOND 8 HOURS IN A WORKWEEK

Summary:
The Welder is responsible for reading complex blueprints and shop drawings to weld component parts or complete fabrications using the appropriate equipment and technique to produce a tight tolerance, high quality product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following: Duties may be modified or additional duties assigned. Manage complete fabrication projects which include print reading, setup, dimensioning, fabricating, welding, analyzing work orders and completed assemblies. Read and follow the instructions of fabrication blue prints used to construct components and tight tolerance weldments. Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with print specifications. Perform cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks on machines and work area daily. Assist other welders as needed. Collaborate and communicate with the Lead Welder and Shift Supervisor. Must maintain a positive can-do attitude, as well as, work in a fast-paced work environment. All other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required 1-year Technical School diploma strongly preferred 5-7 years of experience MIG/TIG welding and fabricating required Ability to see a full fabrication project through from start to finish Proficiency interpreting blueprints and shop math Proficiency using precision measuring tools Self-starter Strong problem-solving skills
Physical Demands:
Medium work that includes moving and lifting objects up to 50 lbs. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Operation of machinery and power tools Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for the duration of shift The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
